Your secret woo.
I know you have it.
You might not talk about it widely. You’ve seen others be treated horribly for leading with it. (And it doesn’t mean you don’t believe in science!) But most of the women I work with, successful, talented women, have a deep connection to the luminous more. And it helps them and provides comfort. I love this about us. We can’t help that some of this shit is true. Shrugs.
I’m always sceptical about trash talking and devaluing things that bring women comfort. Like romance novels and Christmas movies. How dare you want to watch or read something where nice things happen to women???
We also live in a world that doesn’t support women finding out what they want. And I love that we have tools like card readings and astrology that make us think about it.
In my own life I have had psychic readings that have prepared me clearly and specifically for things which were to come (good things I might add). I’ve sat in a sold out room, wondering in my head what was wrong with me while people chose to stand against a wall and left 3 chairs beside me empty. The brilliant Scottish medium Kyle Grey took the stage and looked at me and the seats and started to laugh. He said are you wondering why no one will sit with you? I nod and blush. Your three angels are there. They wanted you to understand that you are protected and cared for. Even my spirit squad are dramatic. LOL
My connection to woo has been around since I went to my first psychic fair in university. I loved it! The spiritualist church in Notting Hill near my flat in London brought me so much support and calm. My relationship with the undefinable more has been a really important part of my life. And I haven’t historically invited that many people into it. The other day I was having a session with a client and there were some very clear connections between her relationship with the more and the brilliant work she is doing to help big organizations imagine and become the future they want to see. And it was such a relief to her to be able to bring her woo work into the conversation. It made me want to write this piece for all of us.
If something brings you comfort and connects you even more deeply to this world it’s important. If it brings you rest and ease: it’s important. If it helps you bring forth something you long to: it’s important.
I want you to know is that you deserve to be able to have support for all parts of you. I love that you possess the humility to understand that the world is more than we know and the curiosity to engage with that. It’s a valuable part of you that is relevant in your life plans even if it isn’t dominant. (Just like if you have deep religious faith, I don’t have to participate in it to hold its importance to you.)
I just dream of a world where you get to be all of yourself.
Susie
