Deep into finishing another creative project and some life stuff, I disappeared from here last week and I don’t feel guilty about it at all.
That might sound obvious, but if you’re here I’m pretty sure you understand.
If you’ve ever tried to disconnect your inner-people pleaser (who’s expectations you make up yourself so your inner what-you-think-people-want-from-you thoughts might be more accurate). Or if you are a creative person trying to make a living from your heart and face all sorts of thoughts about the lack of value and all the manifestations of dented self-worth, well you will understand how it is possible to feel completely guilty about something that should be so normal!
I write this today for you to remind you that you get to take a pause. You don’t have to explain it unless and when you want to. You don’t have to believe your own inner conditioning when it tells you that you cannot stop or everything will fail, stop or die. We will never build the world we are dreaming of if it costs us you. Give yourself permission to stop when you need to.
