Part of even getting in the position to give ourselves permission to take action on our dreams and wants is to unbind ourselves from some of the obligations and perfections that take up so much of our energy.
You can be a writer if the house is clean.
You can share what you already know once you learn what you are supposed to.
Your life can start when you achieve what a good life should look like.
When you get a promotion you can take that trip.
You can be a painter after you call your Mom.
There are so many things that can get in the way first. Things that pile up fast and pull tight. And pretty soon our dreams and desires seem really far away and unattainable. For some of us a really import part of the process of making decisions and taking action is learning how to prioritize our dreams. It doesn’t mean you never clean your house, but it means you never let that be the reason you aren’t also actioning your dreams.
Sometimes we need to hear it. To remember where that task falls on our priority list and recommit to where we want to be going.
I wrote a book that’s basically a list of all the things you don’t have to do. It’s called A Little Book of Permission and you can get the audio book to listen to today and just sigh with relief as you hear them. If you can’t or don’t want to purchase just start making your own list for a few minutes.
Unwind that binding a little bit.
